Stop Smoking
The Sheffield Stop Smoking Service is a free Service to support and encourage people to stop smoking.
Research suggests that people are more likely to quit smoking if they receive specialist help and support.
The sessions are run by qualified Stop Smoking Advisers. The 7 wk programme will discuss withdrawal symptoms and cravings, coping strategies, Nicotine Replacement Therapy, Healthy Eating and staying stopped.
The first visit will take approx 20min, thereafter about 10-15min each week. The client is not expected to stop smoking before they attend the sessions and will have access to carbon dioxide testing to monitor progress if they wish.
