The Big Day Out

By Abbey Gascoigne, from Sheffield

One day in a great big ship in the middle of the sea is two pirates, and a servant for Redbeard. Redbeard is a horrible pirate with red hair stuck up. Mad Dog is a good dog, bit a pirate and lil pup is their servant. They sailed over the north, east, south and west seas until they got to a colourful land with a sign saying 'Welcome to Daisy Meadows'. They all started playing except for Redbeard... He was grumpy and did not like the place so he sneaked off with the boat and sailed away. That was the last Mad Dog & Lil Pup ever saw of Redbeard.

The Terrible Disaster
By Victoria Smith, Aged 7 from Barnsley

One Day Mad Dog & Lil Pup were sailing when they put the anchors down to rest 'I am glad we stopped' said Mad Dog. As they rested Captain Redbeard climbed on the ship and stole the treasure chest containing all the gold.
'Redbeard; shouted Mad Dog, but it was too late as the evil pirate sailed away with the chest singing ' I stole the treasure'. Meanwhile Mad Dog & Lil pup had raised their anchor and were chasing after Redbeard. Soon they caught up with him and got the treasure chest back. 'I will get you soon' cried Redbeard as Mad Dog & Lil Pup sailed away with the treasure chest.
