Group Fitness Classes at Hillsborough Leisure CentreFitness Improvement & Weight Loss
The classes listed below are designed to increase your general fitness with these classes. From traditional aerobics to non-traditional combat body classes they are designed to improve overall body tone working on coordination and balance skills.

Aerobics – A class consisting of high and low impact exercises suitable for all levels of fitness with toning exercises for both the lower and upper body

Aqua – All the benefits of land based aerobic exercise, with the support of an aquatics environment

Belly Dancing – Based on traditional Arabic dance this class is great for toning the waist and increasing cardiovascular fitness

FU SPIN – An energetic cycling workout which helps to define and tone leg and shoulder muscles. Click here to check out the newly refurbished SPIN studio, providing the ideal location for a SPINtacular workout

Gentle Aerobics – Low impact class, suitable for beginners or those who want a less strenuous approach to aerobics

Cardio Kick – Non-Combat class with high intensity military style training session

Salsacise – Aerobic style exercise combined with salsa and latin dance moves

Step – Improve your lower body toning and co-ordination and general fitness

50/50 – This class is a combination of two of the following: Step, Aerobics or Body Tone. 30mins approx each including warm up and cool down

Take time out to relax, re-energise and take control of your life. Stretch, improve flexibility and balance and lengthen the tone of your entire body.

Chi Yoga – Yoga Asanas taught with serenity and flow to improve strength of mind, body and spirit.

Physical Yoga – Safe and effective yoga instruction specific to the fitness industry concentrating on the asanas, the physical postures 3rd limb of yoga, to improve flexibility and postural strength

Pilates – Controlled movements, help to lengthen and tone muscles to build strength

Yoga – Traditional Hatha Yoga to unify the mind, body and spirit




Muscle & Body Conditioning at Hillsborough Leisure CentreMuscle & Body Conditioning

Prepare to change the shape of your body with these classes. They offer the complete package; as well as working on strength and tone you will also improve posture, core stability and self-confidence.

Core Stability – Utilising the fit balls this class aims to strengthen and challenge postural muscles, the abdominals and lower back

LBT – Legs, Bums & Tums.  A low impact muscular endurance toning class aimed at the lower body

BODYATTACK™ is hard driving music combined with a cardio blast of jumping, kicking and running. No surprises just simple athletic moves that encourage you to work hard and challenge you to a greater level of fitness

BODYPUMP™ is the worlds most popular Group Fitness Programme, and it is a revolutionary weight training workout that strengthens, tones and defines every muscle in your body



Alterations
On occasions there may be need to cancel classes but we’ll try to keep you informed as quickly as possible. Our alterations page will keep you informed of any class that is cancelled or if an instructor has changed. Make sure you keep the alterations section highlighted on your home page. If you’d like us to send you these by email make sure you register your details with us.

Fitness Class Information & Etiquette
• Classes are open to both members & pay per class customers
• Lucky you! - All fitness classes are included in Fitness Unlimited membership
• Class tickets are available on a first come first served basis
• Sorry! Once the class has started you’ll no longer be able to purchase a ticket for the class
• Don’t lose your ticket! - Valid tickets will be collected on entry to the class
• Please make sure you arrive on time for your class to ensure you have a safe warm up and introduction from the instructor.
• Once the class has started entrance is only allowed at the instructor’s discretion
• Please let your instructor of any injuries or medication before commencing any fitness class. They can give you advice on
• It’s really important that you have a cool down before finishing your class. So please don’t leave a class before completing a thorough cool down.
